Did you know that interest rates are about as good as they are ever going to be? Time to reach out to your lender. It may be time to lock a rate, but it's best to shop for the best deal. There is a "leash" effect - in other words, the rate can snap back in a dramatic fashion
Here is the scoop: Mortgage rates historically follow the 10-year treasury. The 10 Yr UST went below 1% from January 2 at 1.92%. Stock market losses also benefit mortgage rates.
  • This is likely a short time only when the Corona is fixed, rates will only be low during this time of uncertainty over the Carona virus.
